Achieved the First Win at the All-Japan Intercollegiate Cycling Championship in Women's Individual Road Race

The 78th All-Japan Intercollegiate Cycling Championships was held in Omachi, Nagano, on September 3, 2023. From Shinshu University, four athletes from both the men's and women's teams competed in the event.

Akari Kobayashi, 4th-year student in the Faculty of Economics and Law, won in the Women's Individual Road Race Category.

Akari Kobayashi commented: "I am very honored to win the Intercollegiate Cycling Championships and also very proud to be the first Shinshu University athlete to win the Intercollegiate Cycling Road Race so far. On the day of the race, I was cheered on by many alumni and people related to Shinshu University, and their support gave me a lot of strength. This is not the goal, and I will continue to work even harder so that I can win a prize at the Olympics and the World Championships some day in the future. I would be very happy, if you could continue to support us. Thank you so much."
